Covenant House Texas Our front door is the first stop on the road to a new life for youth ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness.

Since 1983, Covenant House Texas remains the only organization in Texas providing an extensive continuum of care to youth experiencing homelessness including mental health and substance abuse counseling, educational and vocational training, transitional and permanent living programs, street outreach and prevention, pastoral ministry and parenting classes in addition to providing the basic necessities of food, clothing, medical care and safe shelter from the streets.

In FY2026, 193 youth were served through on-site job readiness at Covenant House Texas.

Our workforce development support helps young people strengthen resumes, prepare for interviews, understand workplace expectations, explore career paths, and develop skills they can carry into future opportunities.

This work is about more than helping someone find their first job. It's about helping young people build the confidence, experience, and financial stability needed for long-term independence.

Beginning a career is important. Being prepared to build a future is even bigger.

Guts + Glory isn’t just a test of strength. It’s a test of how well your team thinks together. 🧠💪

Some of the toughest challenges on the course require more than speed or athletic ability. Teams have to communicate, strategize, problem-solve, and make decisions together when the pressure is on.

That’s where real teamwork shows up.

When coworkers have to listen to one another, adapt quickly, and trust each other to solve a challenge, they build stronger relationships that can carry well beyond event day and back into the workplace.

Princess Jackson, founder of Sock Out Poverty, recently spent the day with our youth, sharing her inspiring story of giving back and encouraging others to make a difference in their communities. 💙

Her journey has taken her all the way to the Steve Harvey Show, but this Saturday was all about connecting with our young people.

After sharing her story, Princess brought the fun with bingo, prizes, and snacks for our residents. 🎉

Thank you, Princess, for giving your time and reminding our youth that each of us has the ability to make an impact.
