A fresh coat of paint on a ceiling repair can quickly fail a fire inspection.

Painted or corroded sprinkler heads are one of the most common deficiencies we find in the field, and once a head is painted over, there's no cleaning it off and calling it fixed. To meet NFPA standards, you have to replace it!

We see it most often in hotels, schools, restaurants, and apartment buildings, usually after a renovation or touch-up job where the sprinkler head wasn't masked off first. It's an easy mistake to make and an easy one to miss until an inspection catches it.
