The city’s water system will be shut down between 8:00pm Wednesday through 4:00am Thursday to perform some emergency pipe repairs within Grant Street. During this time, there will be no water service. When the system is repressurized, please take some time to run a few faucets to flush out your service line before turning on any cloths washers.
Following the shut-down, the city will be under a “boil order” until Friday. During the boil order, you may use water for cleaning, toilets, etc.; however, you should not consume any water directly from the faucet unless it is first boiled. You may also secure an alternate water source, such as bottled water, during this time. The boil order is put in place as a precautionary measure after the water system loses pressure and it will remain in affect until we receive tests which indicate the water is save for consumption.
