5/20/2026 - As we are making hydrant repairs on Chase & Spruce St today, we have had to shut off more homeowner/business water service than expected. Please bear with us as we make this repair. We hope to have water service restored this afternoon.

A Good Samaritan picked this dog up on Highway 16 between Houston and Rushford today. The dog is a male with a blue collar.

With a large snowstorm expected in our area, we are asking for the community’s help to make snow removal as efficient and safe as possible.
If you are able, please voluntarily move your vehicles off the street during the storm and while snow removal operations are underway. Keeping streets clear allows plow operators to do a more thorough job and helps improve driving conditions for everyone.
Your cooperation makes a big difference and helps our crews keep roads open and safe throughout the storm.

Something is different today (3/3/2026). Waste Management is collecting Houston east side recycling first. Refuse citywide will be collected later today. Please contact city hall early Wednesday if there are any problems with your Waste Management pickup.
