Midtown Traffic Alert: Multiple Street Closures & Reopenings (TxDOT I-45 NHHIP) 🚧

Begins: Monday, October 26, 2026 | 9:00 AM
Through: Friday, March 26, 2027

⛔ Street and ramp closures:
I-69 Southbound: Webster Street entrance ramp closed.
Hamilton St: Closed between Pierce St and Hadley St.
Gray St: Closed between Chartres St and Hutchins St.

🚧 Construction details:
These closures are necessary for the installation of 12' x 12' storm sewer boxes beneath Hamilton Street as part of TxDOT's North Houston Highway Improvement Project (NHHIP).
Follow posted detour signs and refer to the provided detour maps for alternate routes.

⚠️ Plan accordingly:
Expect possible travel delays and allow extra time.
Follow all posted traffic signs and detour routes.
Check local traffic updates for changes to closures or detours.

This Saturday and Sunday, the 8th Houston Lebanese Festival is taking over Midtown Park for a weekend filled with Lebanese food, music, culture, family fun and plenty of laughs!

🎉 Bring the whole family to Midtown Park on October 17 & 18 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM for interactive competitions, great food, prizes and unforgettable memories.

Milam Street is bringing the art, the eats, and the neighborhood vibes! The annual Milam Street Block Party is back, and this year, we have something special to celebrate! 🎨✨

Join Midtown Houston and on Saturday, October 24, for an afternoon of local art, food, music, shopping, and community!

We're unveiling Urban Wild, a new augmented reality mural by , Midtown Houston's first-ever Artist in Residence! Be among the first to explore this interactive artwork and see how art and technology come together with the help of Urban Wild Field Guides. 🎨

And there's more happening on the block! is opening its newly expanded shop, alongside a lineup of Houston artists, makers, pop-up vendors, food, pastries, and music. It's the perfect excuse to shop local, discover something new, and spend an afternoon with your Midtown neighbors!
