Taking criminal illegal aliens off our streets - BROUGHT IN UNDER THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION VIA "CATCH AND RELEASE" - is the responsibility of all law enforcement in our area. Who do our public officials care more about - the citizens they have a duty to serve, or non-citizens who are entitled to ZERO legal protections our constitution provides? They choose time and again to protect illegal aliens - and this is the inevitable outcome.

The left will holler and throw tantrums again and again about civility and decorum - but are silent when an innocent person is beat in the head with a hammer. Liberalism really is a mental disorder.

NEW: ICE confirms that the suspect arrested in Houston, TX for allegedly using a sledgehammer to bludgeon a coworker to death is a Venezuelan illegal alien who was caught and released at the border by the Biden administration in November 2023. ICE has placed a detainer request on Josue Abraham Chirino-Leonice with Harris County, TX law enforcement.

He was arrested on April 12th after police say he was found driving around in the victim's vehicle after he used a sledgehammer to beat the victim to death while they were renovating a house together.

ICE statement:

“This criminal illegal alien — who never should have been allowed into the country in the first place — is accused of savagely beating a co-worker to death with a sledgehammer and leaving him to die in a house they were renovating together. Our officers are working tirelessly to restore integrity to our nation’s immigration system to bring an end to the carnage and unnecessary suffering in this country that’s caused by criminal illegal aliens, and we won’t rest until we’ve accomplished that mission.”

UPCOMING MEETING: Doug Griffith of the Houston Police Officers' Union will be joining us next week to update us on the Houston City Council ICE Ordinance.

As you likely already know, Houston City Council recently passed a controversial immigration ordinance (Proposition A) limiting HPD cooperation with federal ICE agents. This has sparked significant backlash, including a lawsuit from AG Ken Paxton and threats from Governor Abbott to withhold $110 million in state funding. Houston Mayor John Whitmire, who initially supported the ordinance, is now pushing for changes or repeal, with a council vote expected soon.

As always, we're at Cyclone Anaya's on Westheimer on April 27 at 7PM. See you all then!

In 1776, the leaders of the American Revolution were a young group. General George Washington was 43 years old. John Hancock, the President of the Continental Congress, was 39. John Adams was 40. Thomas Jefferson was a mere 32. We tend to think of them as older because their portraits were painted many years later. The below portrait of George Washington was painted when he was 54.

Last month, we had an incredible turn out to hear from the three candidates for Harris County Republican Party Chair. Lively debate and discussion ensued, and that back and forth is a hallmark of our meetings. Thank you to Mike and Tish for helping organize critical aspects of our gathering. And, thank you to Michelle Bouchard, Don Hooper, and Cindy Siegel for joining us.
