Higher mortgage rates are squeezing Houston homebuyers. Here’s where help may be available.

Mortgage rates are hovering near seven percent, putting added pressure on Houstonians trying to buy a home.

For some buyers, the higher rate is enough to pause their search. But housing experts say a higher rate does not necessarily mean homeownership is off the table.

Relive the excitement of the Lost Oaks Grand Opening!

Lost Oaks brings 78 new affordable apartment homes to working individuals and families in a community where the need for affordable housing continues to grow.

But Lost Oaks is about more than housing. Residents will also have access to community events, back-to-school support, food resources, and other supportive services through partnerships with local organizations like the Joseph House Community Outreach Center.

Qualified firms are invited to submit proposals to partner on the development of workforce and middle-income housing projects in Harris County.

Proposal Deadline: October 15 at 3:00 P.M.
