Memorial Ceremony

Contable Terry Allbritton, Precint 5 Deputies, and our CPA Members attend a memorial service at Second Baptist Church - West Campus. Family, friends, fellow deputies, and community members gathered to remember those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Today, we honored our fallen heroes and stand beside the families, friends, and agency who continue to carry their memory forward. Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Join us this Thursday, May 14, as we honor and remember the brave men and women of law enforcement during National Police Week at the Precinct 5 Memorial Ceremony.

The ceremony will begin at 9:00 AM at Second Baptist Church – West Campus, at the Williams House located at 19449 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094.

We invite the community to come together with us as we pay tribute to those who serve and protect, and remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.

As Police Week 2026 begins, we take time to honor and remember the brave men and women in law enforcement who serve and protect our communities each and every day. We especially remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and the families who continue to carry their legacy.

This annual event began in 1962 with a Presidential Proclamation from John F. Kennedy declaring May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which it falls as Police Week.

Thank you to all law enforcement officers for your dedication, courage, and commitment. Your service does not go unnoticed.

Please join us this week in showing appreciation and support for our officers past and present.

A wonderful morning assisting in the annual Precinct 5 Victims Assistance Unit conference for National Crime Victims' Rights Week! This year's theme, "Listen, Act, Advocate”, truly came to life as we welcomed many incredible local organizations and agencies, all working together to support and empower victims of crime. A special shoutout to our alumni for bringing some breakfast items, also their fantastic assistance in making this event a success!

Our Citizens Police Academy members had a great time out in Bellaire at the Touch-a-Truck event! 🚓🚒🚧

They were busy connecting with the community, handing out Child ID kits to help families stay prepared, along with plenty of goodies for the kids to enjoy.

We wrapped up the week by providing a well-deserved home cooked spaghetti dinner and a side salad for these dedicated individuals who are truly the first line of help and work tirelessly to keep our community safe and sound.
