At last night’s Annual Banquet (10/22/26), the award for Deputy Municipal Clerk of the Year was awarded to our very own, Gladis Sanchez. She is the Deputy City Secretary for City of Deer Park.

The Salt Grass Chapter is very proud of her and her accomplishments.

As a chapter, Robin Lenio, Deputy City Secretary for City of La Porte was also nominated for this award. For Municipal Clerk of the Year, Becky McGrew, City Secretary for City of Katy, was nominated.

Officer and trustees were sworn in - Roxanne Benitez, City Secretary of Stafford and Francis Aguilar, City Secretary of Pearland from our chapter are on the board.

Salt Grass Chapter was well represented at the Advanced Institute Seminar held in the Woodlands, Texas on October 22, 2026.

We have enjoyed being the 2025 Chapter of the Year and look forward to see who will be chosen next at this banquet.

Of course, not everyone that attended is in our photo as that would be a miracle.
