Our 7th and 8th grade students had an incredible experience exploring the amazing magnet school programs offered by HISD high schools! From STEM pathways to fine arts, health sciences, engineering, early college, and more - our students wete able to learn firsthand about the opportunities awaiting them.

We are so proud of their curiosity, excitement, and enthusiasm as they begin thinking about their journey beyond AIMS. The future is bright, and their possibilities are endless!

QFI Celebrates Eythar, Winner of the Arabic Short Story Contest

The 2025 QFI Arabic Short Story Contest motivated students to explore Arabic creatively and make learning personal. Guided by their teachers, students turned vocabulary and grammar into stories, experimenting with new words and expressions in a meaningful context. Eythar, an Early Learner level student, embraced this challenge with support from her teacher Dana, expanding her vocabulary, trying new expressions, and stepping outside her comfort zone.

Dana noted that the contest provided a fun, engaging way for students to test their capabilities while applying what they had learned. It encouraged them to build personal lexicons and develop lasting proficiency, turning Arabic from a classroom subject into a medium for storytelling.

To ensure your child receives bus transportation on the first day of school, transportation requests must be submitted no later than Monday, July 28.

Already filled it out? No need to resubmit — HISD will notify you of your child’s eligibility within the next two weeks.
