Stocked back up on coloring books and Playdough!
Also found a few board books by Baby Einstein. Download their app and scan the book QR code, then enjoy the audio visual addition to the book.
Donโ€™t forget the little reader oversized books in the top shelf.
CANT fit them on the bottom one.

As always, enjoy, then please return or share!

Still in the hunt for board books for the 0-2 age range. Iโ€™ll update when I ca. Get them stocked.

Crayons and coloring books in the box today!
Coloring books are on the top shelf (they were too tall for the bottom shelf).

Remember, Little Blooms is primarily a childrenโ€™s library, so adult books will be re-homed at another LFL in the neighborhood. Have a donation? Awesome!!
Just drop it in the front porch so they can be inventoried and stamped.

Why stamped? Well it appears some of the books from our little library have made their way onto FB, and ND as โ€œfor saleโ€ items.
I never sell the inventory. The items are FREE for anyone to read and return, or share.
Please never purchase a book for sale with an LFL stamp or sticker. That way thieves are less likely to take our inventory for resale. ๐Ÿ˜˜๐ŸŒธ

Come by and grab a Christmas coloring pack, or a Christmas story (I hear Rudolph is having a problem with gas...).
Also just in- 2 new books in the Hampster Pricess series, and another Neil Flambรฉ story!

As always, if you have any small childrens books ready to leave your shelves, there are lots of tiny readers needing board books just now.

Welcome to Little Blooms lending library!

Located in front of 811 Arlington Street, Little Blooms is a free lending library of childrens books. Its purpose is to help children learn to read, and eventually love to read! It is open 7am to 8pm every day (and some nights when I forget to lock it).

Books are doorways to adventures, feelings, history, art, laughter and far away places. Books don't need batteries or recharging, and can be read together with a friend or family member. In a time of so much electronic isolation, they are a nice counterbalance. Reading books involves multiple senses too, (touch, smell, sound, sight) how great is that?!

Did you know that more than 30 million adults cannot read or write above a third-grade level? Books in the hands of children have a meaningful impact on improving literacy. The more books in or near the home, the more likely a child will learn and love to read. Reading is also a strong predictor of educational success in adulthood.

Everyone is welcome to come and borrow a book. No need to make an appointment or have a card. All I ask is that you treat it well, then either bring it back or pass it on to someone else who will do the same. Books on shelves are of little help to children, so please don't leave them there. If you have a few children's books you no longer read, LIttle Blooms will gladly house them and make them available to the children of our neighborhood.
