Friends of Anahuac Refuge

Friends of Anahuac Refuge the eastern shores of Galveston Bay near Houston, TX. It's purpose is to protect habitat for migrating waterfowl and songbirds along the upper Texas coast.

The mission of the Friends of Anahuac Refuge is to support, preserve, promote, and enhance Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge and its use for recreational, educational, and scientific research purposes In 1996, local residents and refuge volunteers created the Friends of Anahuac Refuge (FOAR). A year later, we were incorporated as a 501(c)3 and have been serving the refuge and the community since that time.
