“If you want to grow your shared living business, you can’t rely on owning every property. You need to build strong relationships with property owners.

Many homeowners have vacant properties or don’t want the stress of finding tenants, collecting rent, or managing the day-to-day. That’s where you come in.

When you approach a property owner, don’t just tell them you need a house. Show them how you solve a problem. Explain how you’ll help keep the home occupied, communicate consistently, and care for the property according to your agreement.

Your reputation is everything. If you do what you say you’re going to do, pay on time, communicate well, and take care of the home, property owners are much more likely to work with you again and refer you to other owners.

One great relationship can lead to your second, third, and fourth property. Build trust first—the business will follow.”
