On Friday, February 18th, 2022, members of the Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance and the Houston Office of the Mayor's Office of Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence had the pleasure of meeting with Ambassador Georg Sparber of Liechtenstein to discuss the FAST Initiative. Finance Against Slavery and Trafficking (FAST) is a multi-stakeholder initiative based at United Nations University Centre for Policy Research that works to mobilize the financial sector against modern slavery and human trafficking.

This is a great example of the collaborative work with TABC as one of our partners within HTRA. This case also was used to demonstrate our investigative and operational capabilities with the Northwest Louisiana Human Trafficking Task Force as a joint learning project.

Tony Gracia represented the Houston Police Department’s Vice Division/Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance of the Southern District of Texas at the “Fight for Freedom” - Human Trafficking Awareness event hosted at the West End Church located at 802 Shepherd Drive, Houston, Texas. Street Grace, Crime Stoppers of Houston, Demand Disruption,Rescue America, and many more were in attendance at this event which was well attended. The highlight of this HT Awareness event was a short movie called “Groomed” by Stephanie Clawson. A great short movie!
