Our Story
School of Science and Technology (SST) Champions is a tuition free, high performing, K-8 college preparatory public charter school that focuses on science, technology, engineering and math (STEMS). College prep begins in kindergarten and STEM concentration begins in the fourth grade. The SST college acceptance rate is 100% and graduates matriculate to area and state community colleges and universities and well as to some of the most competitive and prestigious universities in the United States.
SST campuses are small and safe, providing a nurturing and challenging learning environment where students achieve proficiency in core subjects and are challenged to excel. Dedicated and highly qualified educators partner with parents to create strong relationships that strengthen student achievement. The advanced and accelerated curriculum prepares students to complete in academic competitions; campuses have received local, state and national recognition that reflects well on the rigor of instruction and overall high expectations for all students.
SST has created a safe and healthy learning environment that nurtures, motivates and enables students to develop into mindful and responsible people who contribute to their community and to the diverse society in which we all live. SST is characterized by the cooperative presence and unified support of caring families, businesses, as well as educational and civic groups, with whom our students will interact. Instruction guides students through the development of creative and critical thinking and learning skills, and enables them to apply these skills through cooperative and interactive instruction in the core curricular areas.
