We're raising the bar, and the results keep getting better! 🎉

YES Prep earned its highest Texas Education Agency accountability score yet, an 89 (B), improving by 8 points over the previous year. And for the first time, every YES Prep secondary campus earned an A!

These milestones reflect the work happening in our classrooms every day. Our students continue to rise to the challenge, and our educators are helping make that progress possible through high academic standards and dedicated support.

We're proud of how far we've come, and even more excited about where we're headed. 💙

Houston families, be part of what's next at YES Prep!

What a day of celebrating The Power of YES! 💙

Yesterday, we welcomed Houston leaders, supporters, and community members to the 2026 Power of YES Prep Luncheon to recognize the people making a difference for our students.

From honoring our award recipients to hearing the stories of our alumni and families, this celebration was a reminder of what we can accomplish together.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised nearly $900,000 to help create more opportunities for Houston students!

🎥 Take a look at the video that opened this year's luncheon, and read more about the event on our blog: bit.ly/YESPrepBlog

This is excellence. This is YES Prep. 👏 👏 👏

Today, we celebrated the Power of YES! 💙✨

The Power of YES Prep Luncheon 2026 brought together Houston's philanthropic, business and community leaders at the Wortham Theater Center for an inspiring celebration of excellence, opportunity, and the collective impact of investing in education.

We proudly honored Karen Arnold with the Chris Barbic Legacy Award for her extraordinary commitment to YES Prep students and families, and Edriena Gee-Cooper, YES Prep Gulfton Class of 2014, with the YES Prep Alumni Legacy Award for her achievements and continued dedication to giving back.

We were also inspired by keynote speakers Brisa Lumbreras and her son, Dillon Adam Hernandez, YES Prep Northline's 2026 valedictorian, whose journey reflects the power of resilience, family, and educational opportunity.

From our talented student performers and artists to the generosity of our supporters, today's celebration was a reminder of what we can accomplish together.

Thank you to our luncheon chairs, Johanne and Joe Gatto, and every partner, donor and community member who continues to invest in the future of Houston students.

Together, we're creating opportunities, expanding access and advancing the Education We Deserve. 💙

Fall Tutorials are happening now at all YES Prep campuses! 📚

Through additional instruction and small-group practice, identified students receive support to strengthen their understanding and feel more confident in the classroom.

Tutorials continue through Dec. 4. If your student is participating, follow the schedule shared by your school to help them make the most of this support.

Transportation is not provided for after-school or Saturday sessions. Contact your student’s school with questions.
