Our hearts are heavy with the news that one of our Lifetime Members, Linda Hudson passed away early this morning. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to the Hudson Family. A faithful Enhanced EMT volunteer with 40+ years of service to Amelia County and its citizens!

Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, friends and coworkers.

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the passing of Firefighter Mason Fercovic-Ortegel, who tragically died in an off-duty drowning incident at Lake Anna. Mason was only 24 years old.

This is a heartbreaking loss for Mason’s family, friends, coworkers, and our entire FREM family. We ask that you keep his family and everyone who knew and loved Mason in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Our department will stand beside Mason’s family and our members in the days ahead. We will do everything we can to support them, care for one another, and honor Mason and his service to our community.

Please continue to lift up Mason’s family, friends, and fellow department members.

Rest easy, Mason. You will not be forgotten.
