🚨🚧ROUNDABOUT PHASE 2 @ SR22 & JAMISON ROAD🚧🚨

The Roundabout at 22 and Jamison road will be transitioning to phase 2 on 6/9/2026. This phase will be moving traffic on 22 EB/WB to the outside newly constructed portion of the roundabout while the inner position is constructed. This will be reopening the newly constructed CR-22A and Jamison intersection as well as opening the intersections from Jamison northbound to 22EB, Jamison southbound to 22WB, 22WB to Jamison Northbound, and 22EB to Jamison Southbound. There will be no access to cross 22 from Jamison northbound or southbound as well as no access from 22EB to Jamison Northbound and no access from 22WB to Jamison Southbound. at the Roundabout, however the detour prom phase 1 using CR-22A to Jamison road will be used for through access. 🚧🚨 JAMISON ROAD ROUNDABOUT🚨🚧

The ODOT district 8 project to construct the roundabout at US 22 and Jamison Road is beginning a pre-phase configuration beginning today Monday April 27, 2026. This intersection will be open to traffic this week with inside lane closures on US 22 EB and US 22 WB. This will be switching to phase 1 on Monday May 4, 2026 which will close the Jamison Road access to US 22. The north leg of Jamison will be accessible by CR22A during phase 1 construction.

They can teach you all the possibilities of civil engineering and we provide a great summer help program that can give you a job while you’re home for the summer and can be a jump start towards your career if Engineering or Highway Working is the career path you choose.

Big thanks to Jason Little, Fayette County Engineer, for joining us this week as our program speaker!

He started the meeting with a quiz for Rotarians, and we came away with some insights about the engineer’s office. ⬇

▪️ County engineers must be registered surveyors.

▪️ In Fayette County, the engineers office is responsible for 322 miles of roadway and 223 bridges, inspecting them yearly to keep them safe.

▪️ The county engineer’s budget does NOT come from property taxes it’s funded through gas tax, license plates, and permissive taxes.

Jason also shared updates on upcoming projects including bridge repairs, landfill expansion, and new roundabouts around the county!

Always great to learn more about how our roads and bridges stay safe and well-maintained! 🛣️ Thanks to Kate Wells for organizing this program!
