Kick off your summer with a day focused on health, wellness, and family fun right here in Fayette County!

Two great community events are happening the same day - so why not enjoy both?!

Start the morning at the first annual Trails of Summer 5K & 10K Run/Walk, presented by Fayette County Parks & Trails! 🌳☀️ Visit their page for details and registration information!

Then head over to the Community Health Fair & Family Fun Day (Fayette County, OH), offering free and reduced-cost health screenings, family activities, community resources, and special fun featuring the Columbus Zoo!

FCPH is hiring a part-time WIC Peer Helper. If you’ve breastfed exclusively for at least 6 months and want to make a difference for local moms, this may be a great fit for you.

This position is part-time and meaningful work.

Kids who help make food are more likely to eat it. And research shows it helps them develop healthier relationships with food long-term.

That’s one of the reasons we love Healthy at Home, part of our Your Health, Your Way initiative.

Through a partnership with Fayette County Help Me Grow and Ohio State - Fayette County Extension, home visitors bring the ingredients and make something together with families right in their own home. This week it was fruit smoothies. Next time, it will be something different. And the blender stays with the family, because this isn’t a one-time thing.

Healthy at Home is rolling out to Help Me Grow enrolled families. If you’re already connected with a home visitor, ask them about getting on the list. Not connected yet? Call us to learn more about how you can get involved: 740-335-5111.

The team at Optique Family Vision Care is returning this year, partnering with Better Vision, Better Hope, and Fayette County Public Health to offer free vision screenings and glasses to 50 community members.

The screenings are by appointment. Spots are filled but you can get on the waitlist by calling 740-335-5910.
