Join us for Picnic in the Park on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the shelter house by the pond and splash pad. Families can enjoy activities, community resources, and free food and treats while supplies last, and reward coupons for walk participants. The walk kicks off the event at 10:30 a.m.

A special thank you to Fayette County Help Me Grow Home Visiting and Community Action Commission of Fayette County for sponsoring food and treats, and to Launch Jeffersonville and Dairy Queen for providing reward coupons for Family Walk participants.

Picnic in the Park is back for its second year! Local organizations come together to provide families with free activities, resources and opportunities to connect. We look forward to seeing everyone again on June 22 at the Eyman Park Splash Pad.

Fayette County Public Health is seeking a part-time WIC Peer Helper to support local moms and families.

If you’ve breastfed exclusively for at least six months, you may already have the most important qualification: experience.

While staff were planting flowers outside the health department, a community member who was waiting for a ride asked if she could help. What started as a few minutes of waiting turned into a few minutes of working together.

Building a healthier community doesn’t always look like programs and services. Sometimes it looks like this.

Meet Marissa and Katelin, two of the faces behind Breasties Support Group.

Marissa is a Certified Lactation Consultant, and Katelin is a WIC Peer Helper. Both are moms who understand the joys and challenges that can come with breastfeeding and pumping.

Whether you’re looking for answers, encouragement, or just a chance to connect with other moms, we’d love to have you join us.
