Maine author Cathie Pelletier will be here next Friday, September 18th, 1-2pm to talk about her newest book "Evangeline's Journey". She will also be selling and signing copies of not only this book, but many of her past works as well!

We are pleased to announce that Maine author Cathie Pelletier will be holding a Book Talk & Signing here at the library Friday, September 18th, 1-2pm! This event will focus on her most recent release "Evangeline's Journey", which is a young adult adaptation of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem "Evangeline: A Tale of Acadie". Cathie will have copies of "Evangeline's Journey" and past works (such as "Northeaster" and "The Mystery Traveler at Lake Fortune") for purchase at the event.

We are excited to announce a new collaborative effort between Cary Library and Presque Isle CareerCenter to provide employment skill assistance to Houlton and the surrounding communities! Are you looking for help building a resume, applying for jobs, or receiving training? Perhaps you are just starting your career journey and aren’t sure what services are available? Kate Ouellette of the Presque Isle CareerCenter will be set up in our private meeting room once a month to provide assistance with these skills. The first outreach day will be Thursday, September 24th – stop in anytime between 9:30am and 12:30pm.

Story & Craft Time will be returning September 23rd! This program is for children of all ages and is held every Wednesday, 3-4pm in the Children's Library. Registration is not required -- come join us for a story & a craft on Wednesdays!

The September Teen Craft Kit is "Pony Bead Rainbow Lizard Keychains"! A day early, but these kits are now ready to take home -- you can find them in the Teen area under the blackboard.
