The Keweenaw peninsula weather forecast calls from anywhere from 1 to 4 feet of snow, with winds reaching 70 mph along with blizzard warnings.

Please prepare for this event. If the predicted weather arrives please use sound judgment and stay home. Being out on the local roads could be hazardous.

Crews will be out keeping main trunk lines open for emergencies. If you don't need to be on the road, don't! All public safety and service agencies along with the road commissions will have a difficult time just dealing with the hazards. Stay safely at home please!

Power outages as of 6:30 AM Thanksgiving morning. Please be safe everyone and take specific care if using a generator. Exhaust gases can enter your home without noticing!
