🚧 HEAD'S UP Kremmling AREA! 🚧

Mag operations on County Road 1 (Trough Road) will begin tomorrow (June 3) starting at the county line and working east. Maintenance operations are expected to continue through next week.

Today (June 2), crews are working on various spur roads off of Trough.

Please expect delays! SLOW DOWN, and give our crews space to work.

To close out tick awareness month, Grand County Public Health wants to remind you to be tick aware. Tick sightings are on the rise and its important to remember that prevention is the best medicine. More helpful tick info can be found at https://coloradoticks.org/.

CDPHE also continues to encourage the public to participate in their Community Science Tick Surveillance program. Information can be found at the link below. This helps Colorado public health officials identify tick species and locations and helps determine tick migration and disease risks in Colorado. They do not test ticks for pathogens.

If we have a wildfire or other large-scale incident, the Grand County Sheriff's Office will use Grand County Alerts to issue information and important notifications - including evacuation orders.

THIS IS A NEW SYSTEM. If you signed up for CodeRED during the East Troublesome Fire or more recently, you must RE-REGISTER with the new Grand County Alerts notification system!

Commissioner Raegner had the honor of attending the signing yesterday for HB26-1065, Transit and Housing Investment Zones, sponsored by our representatives, Representative Julie McCluskie and State Senator Dylan Roberts.

Heritage Park Museum in Kremmling is preparing the Kremmling Depot to undergo restoration work and we need VOLUNTEERS to clean out the depot.

June 5th and 6th
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Heritage Park Museum, Kremmling
LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED

Please note that volunteers must be able to physically lift and move large boxes, artifacts, containers, and exhibit cases from the depot to the Livery Barn on museum grounds.

Last Friday, Rep. Jeff Hurd announced the release of a $40 million award to the Colorado River District for the purchase and permanent protection of the Shoshone Water Rights. The final approval of $40 million award brings the total amount of funding secured to $97 million of the $99 million needed for the purchase.

This is an exciting step in the Shoshone Water Rights Preservation Project, an historic effort to permanently keep water in the Colorado River, supporting West Slope ag, recreation and wildlife.
