🎨🌸 Creativity in Bloom!🌸🎨

Students in Ms. Poole’s class explored gestural line drawing by studying a still life of flowers and using sticks and ink to capture what they saw! 🖌️✨

Rather than focusing on perfect details, students practiced using quick, expressive lines to show movement, shape, and the overall energy of the flowers.

The best part? They learned that art doesn’t have to be perfect—it’s about letting go, experimenting, and having fun creating!🌼🖤💛

HUMANITY IN MOTION 💛 In this year's student choreography curriculum, students will choose a non-profit organization that works to make a difference in our world. Each student will then choose three important words from the organization's mission statement to inspire their original choreography, while also giving students a chance to reach out to connect to the organizations on a local, statewide, national, and international level. Save the date for March 13th, when some of these works will take the stage!

💰📊 Real-World Economics in Action!

Our Economics students put their budgeting skills to the test with a 30-day financial simulation! Students were given different real-life scenarios that impacted their daily expenses and challenged them to make decisions while staying within a budget.

Throughout the simulation, students responded to questions, weighed their options, and discussed their choices with their peers. We loved hearing them share advice, compare decisions, and think critically about managing money in the real world! 💵🤔

This afternoon, we had two unrelated student medical situations. Emergency personnel were called to assist.

As a precaution, students remained in their 6th-period classrooms while emergency personnel completed their work and the campus was cleared. All students remained safe during this time.

As part of their Education Technology and Child Growth & Development coursework, these future educators put their skills into action! 📚🍎

Students worked collaboratively to create, plan, and teach an educational Jeopardy game to an 8th-grade class! They did an awesome job working as a team, engaging younger students, and getting real-world experience in the classroom.
