Pastor Harold Salem. My moms favorite minister. Baptist. Was in Belle Fourche when my mom was a young girl. She always wanted me to be a Baptist minister like Pastor Salem. Trouble was, I was raised Catholic. On Sundays like today my mom would drive my brother and me to serve as alter boys. Then she would sit out in the 1960 Pontiac Catalina reading her Ladies Home Journal. I saw Pastor Salem preaching on television, some years ago. He shared his email address, so I emailed him. He replied that he remembered “Sister Miller, fondly and that she was a faithful member”.

Supreme Court in cahoots with Republicans? Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, etc.

The Supreme Court heard arguments on the redistricting case in October but has yet to rule, essentially running out the clock for this year’s election.

Watching the Tennessee legislature, the local government committee, I am distracted. After the motion procedure, the Chair says, All in favor say Ahh. And they all say in unison, Ahhh.

The Republican response to Biden’s speech by Alabama Senator Katie Britt was, to say the least, bizarre. The centerpiece of her attack on Biden’s border policies was a story about a 12-year-old Mexican girl who was s*x trafficked and r***d multiple times a day at the hands of cartels before escaping. But the girl was not, in fact, trafficked across the U.S. border; she never sought asylum in America; and her terrifying experience occurred when George W. Bush was in the White House.

People are so excited about the possibility of Trump going to prison. Let me tell you what that takes. We have to vote. If we keep him from winning in November, he goes to prison. If we don't, he'll never see the inside of a cell for his crimes.
Vote, and make sure everyone you know does the same.
His criminal trials won't save America. Our votes will.
