Suicide Prevention Allies

Suicide Prevention Allies We believe all people have value and are worthy. Our goal is to raise awareness and prevent suicide through open, compassionate, educated conversation.

Suicide Prevention Allies (previously the Garland County Suicide Prevention Coalition) was formed in August 2014 in Hot Springs (SPA City), Arkansas. The formerly grassroots group worked tirelessly to build community relations and awareness of Garland County's high suicide rate. After a year of strategic planning and partnership building, the community and coalition saw a 52% reduction of suicides

by the end of 2016. In 2017, the coalition voted to become an official nonprofit organization and take their efforts beyond the boundaries of Garland County. If you are in need of help please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK or text the Crisis Text Line at 741-741. If you, or someone you know are in immediate crisis, please call 911.
