Friends of the Library - Hot Springs, MT The Preston Town County Library opened in September 1997. This was the culmination of many years of fundraising and hard work.

Over 140 groups, organizations, and individuals donated toward the
building fund since the Library Board of Trustees and the Friends of the
Library began fundraising efforts in 1989. The new building was named in honor of the Preston family for many
generous donations to the building fund. The meeting room has been named
for Bea Blackburn Hannon, who wrote some of the first proposals for the

new building and was librarian for many years. Lillian Davis donated countless
hours cataloging books and helping out in many ways. The workroom is named
for Lillian in her memory. The landscaping of the building was finished during the Spring and Summer of
1999. This was made possible with part of a CTEP (Community Transportation
Enhancement Program) grant. The balance of the grant paid
for new sidewalks and landscaping for the business area of Hot Springs, as well. We invite you come and visit our Library and see what can be accomplished in
a small town with caring and industrious citizens.

Good saturday to all! The sun is shining and the flowers are beautiful. The Friends of the Library will be selling these flower arraignments and more at the Symes hotel 3pm today. It's 3 days to Valentines and these are the types of arraignments that make your valentine feel special. Deanne will be selling balloons and candy through the afternoon downtown. Look for her at Fergies and the grocery store. The 50/50 total is $322. The winner takes home $161, that name will be drawn today!

For those of you who don't know what a 50/50 drawing is, here is a quick explanation. You buy the tickets, $1 a piece or 6 for $5, you put your name and phone number on our part of the ticket and you keep the other side. The money pot grows to hopefully a very large sum. We draw a ticket from the tickets we have sold and the winner gets 50% of the pot and the Friends of the Library get 50%, in other words if the pot is $1000 dollars, the lucky winner will get $500.
The Friends will be selling tickets until the middle of December. Look for Peggy Heinselman or George Parsons, Beki or Dan Uski, or Rebecca McClellan at local events. They will be selling tickets.
Buy a ticket or two your investment could turn into a very nice christmas present! Look for updates on this site.

The Friends of the Library will be selling 50/50 tickets and handing out candy in the entryway of the library on Halloween. Stop by and give us a scare!!

The Friends of the Library will be selling 50/50 tickets at different events around the area through the fall. Peggy Heinselman, George Parsons, and Beki Uski will be selling tickets, so be sure to ask them!! We will have specific dates of locations so check back!
