Attention Hot Springs residents:

Update June 1, 2026 3:24 am
Repairs have been completed to the Doe Branch distribution line. The outage was caused by fallen trees.

Update May 31, 2026 9:30 pm
Crews are currently onsite working through repairs to the Doe Branch line. Duke expects to be able to support the town for a few more hours with the microgrid. Estimated repair time to the distribution line is around 2:00 am on Monday, June 1.

Update May 31, 2026 6:30 pm
There is a section of distribution line down in Doe Branch. Crews are meeting to assess the damage and provide an estimated time of repair. Please conserve energy until we are back on the distribution line: wait to do laundry, adjust your AC setting, etc.

Our power is currently being supplied by the solar grid. At this time, weather conditions are favorable; the batteries are charging and the grid is providing power. We are asking that you conserve energy in case the repair in Doe Branch takes longer than expected. Thank you for your cooperation.

In observance of Memorial Day, Hot Springs town hall will be closed Monday, May 25th. Trash pick up will be on Tuesday, May 26th. Have a safe holiday weekend.

HSVFD Rescue Truck

Congratulations to the Hot Springs VFD!

This new rescue truck just arrived. It was purchased with funds from the Office of State Fire Marshall disaster recovery grant. Thanks to the Hot Springs Volunteer Fire Department for everything you do!

We are most pleased to learn that the Madison County Board of Elections voted unanimously today to return early voting to Hot Springs for the upcoming November election 🗳️

We appreciate the advocacy that has happened around the issue from concerned citizens. This will make voting more accessible for this side of Madison County🎉

Boil Water Advisory Rescinded - May 19, 2026

The boil water advisory previously issued for River Road, Silvermine, Hot Springs Housing Authority (French Broad Circle), Berry Wills Road, Reservoir Road, Flint Branch Drive, and Gahagan Drive has been rescinded.

Water service has been restored and testing has confirmed that the water is safe for normal use. Residents and businesses in these areas no longer need to boil water before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or making ice.
