I want to thank the community for the support they have given me and the Hot Springs South Dakota Police Department for the last 5+ years. I have enjoyed my time there and in Hot Springs, and I will miss everyone however Captain Phillip Shively and the rest of the Officers will do wonders for the department if they have the support of the community and the city council. I wish everyone the best!

Thanks,
Chief Jen

The Fall River County SO along with the Hot Springs South Dakota Police Department believe it is important to implement safety precautions to protect all those in Fall River County, but most importantly the youth in our communities. We realize that unfortunately, with the world we live in, some threats can become all to real. Which is why this Thursday and Friday, July 28-29 2022, a multi-agency active shooter training will be conducted at the Hot Springs School.

This training is designed to better prepare our Law Enforcement Officers in the event an incident occurs at one of our schools. There will be a large law enforcement presence at the school Thursday and Friday for this training.
