Garland County Sheriff’s Office Hosts Interagency Law Enforcement Training
Sheriff Mike McCormick continues his commitment to providing quality training and professional development opportunities for law enforcement officers throughout Arkansas.
On August 20th, the Sheriff’s Office hosted two training courses through the University of Arkansas Criminal Justice Institute: Investigating Popular Street Drugs and S*x Offender Management. Deputies from the Garland County Sheriff’s Office, along with law enforcement officers from agencies across the state, attended the courses.
On August 26th, GCSO continued its interagency training efforts by hosting Roadside Interview Techniques. Deputies from the Garland County Sheriff’s Office, as well as officers from outside agencies, participated in the training to further develop their skills and knowledge when conducting roadside interviews.
As the hosting agency, GCSO is proud to provide these training opportunities, which give law enforcement officers valuable information and practical techniques that can be applied in their day-to-day duties while also strengthening partnerships and cooperation among agencies throughout the state.
Sheriff McCormick is proud to host these opportunities and remains committed to continued education and professional development, which directly contribute to the safety of our community.
Thank you to the University of Arkansas Criminal Justice Institute and all of the participating agencies and officers for making these training opportunities a success!
