Effective daylight tomorrow morning, the burn ban will be lifted.

We are lifting the burn ban effective daylight, May 13. The conditions have improved with the rain and higher humidity. We will continue to monitor the draught conditions over the next several days in case conditions warrant reinstating the ban.

Thank you to City of Bristol Volunteer Fire Department FL for there response and assistance on tonight’s fire

Hosford-Telogia Volunteer Fire Dept has been notified about 2 seperate fires. One in the area of Hwy 20 and Chester St ( camper )and another on Hwy 20 in the area of C.W Roberts. (Brush)

Use caution traveling in the area as first responders are working to put out the fire and other first responders arrive on scene.

Liberty County, Florida Burn Ban

Severe Drought⚠️⚠️

Due to ongoing drought conditions in Liberty County and surrounding areas, the risk of wildfires is extremely high. Outdoor debris burning of any kind is banned effective March 23, 2026. Please take precautions to prevent fires, such as properly disposing of ci******es, avoid grilling in dry areas, and ensuring lawn mowers or vehicles do not create sparks.

Update: us forest services as estimated the fire to be approximately 10+ acres, forest services have dozers on the ground

Hosford-Telogia Volunteer Fire Dept is currently enroute to FR 120for a rapid spreading brush fire.

U.S. Forest Service - National Forests in Florida has been notified and is enroute as well.

Please use caution in the area as first responders respond, and arrive on scene. Updates will come when available

Hosford-Telogia Volunteer Fire Dept is currently enroute to the the area of NE Blue Creek Rd for a reported brush fire, use caution in the area as volunteers arrive on scene

Hosford-Telogia Volunteer Fire Dept is currently enroute to the area of Dempsey Barron road for a vehicle catching a field on fire.

At the same time of this call City of Bristol Volunteer Fire Department FL is currently working a residential structure fire off lake mystic Duggar road in Bristol.

Use caution if in the area of either call as firefighters are continuing to arrive on scene.
