Horseshoe Bend Public Library

Horseshoe Bend Public Library Our library is part of the Izard County Library System which also includes Melbourne and Calico Rock. We moved to this new location in May of 2006.

In 1970 the residents of Horseshoe Bend were served by a bookmobile from the White River Regional Library in Batesville. After the bookmobile, a lending library was started in Hamilton's Drug Store in Diamond B Mall. With the help of the Garden Club, the city made room in the back of the old city hall for the library. In 1974 the library became the "real library" when the present municipal building was erected. The library is now housed in a new building built by the Friends of the Library.

We’re excited to be hosting another fun, hands-on class with the Izard County Cooperative Extension Service! After everyone enjoyed last year’s Instant Pot workshop, we’re looking forward to trying something new!

Join us on October 29th at 2:00 PM to learn how to create your own charcuterie board. And the best part? You’ll get to take your creation home with you! ❤️

We're excited to announce new library hours beginning August 1!

To better serve our community, we've extended our hours Monday through Thursday until 5:30 p.m. These additional evening hours will make it easier for many patrons to stop by after work, school, or other daytime commitments.

As part of this schedule update, the library will now be open Monday through Friday and closed on Saturdays.

We're excited to offer expanded weekday access and hope these new hours make visiting the library even more convenient for our community.
