The City of Horseshoe Bay maintains a Recycling and Brush Disposal Center within the city limits for residents of Horseshoe Bay. In 2025, Horseshoe Bay adopted a new single-stream system, meaning residents can now combine mixed paper items (newspaper, junk mail, cereal boxes, cardboard) and containers (aluminum and steel cans, glass jars and bottles, plastic bottles) into a single bin or bag without sorting them first. A quick reminder: ONLY RESIDENTS of Horseshoe Bay may use the facility. Recycle Monitors will be on staff to verify that those using the site are residents. Horseshoe Bay: Planned Water Outage on Short Circuit RESCHEDULED to Wednesday, September 16

Attention, residents! The planned water outage on Short Circuit that was originally planned for Tuesday, September 15 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, September 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. due to a scheduling conflict with the contractor. Please see a map below to view the impacted area.

Residents and businesses in the affected area are encouraged to store sufficient water in advance for drinking, cooking, and other essential needs.

NEW DATE: Wednesday, September 16th
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Short Circuit Street
Reason: Planned maintenance
