In September we responded to 55 calls for service, including 3 times where our 2nd unit was requested due to simultaneous requests. September and October also tend to be slightly more busy for us with Football standbys and the 9/11 Silent Parade in Juneau. We were attended 3 varsity football games in September 1 of which we also got our 2nd unit to Juneau for the 9/11 parade. We also attended 2 cross county meets and participated in the Homecoming Parade. Our Year to Date total calls is 462.

September 11, 2001

25 years late, Horicon Fire continues to remember the 2,977 lives lost and the countless families, friends and communities forever changed that day.

We honor the 343 members of the FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice while answering the call to serve. We also remember the police officers, EMS, military members and all those who showed the ultimate courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Their sacrifice reminds us of the true meaning of service. To stand ready, to protect others and to never forget those who gave everything,

Today, we remember.
Today, we honor.
Today, and every day, We Will Never Forget.

July saw us dispatched to another 48 calls. Not included in that 48 was a stand by for Mayville EMS who had all of their available units out, and we also did a stand by at Concert in the Park at the beginning of July due to the extreme heat. Our total for the year is at 356 calls through the end of July.
