Good morning, City of Horicon,

Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s informational meeting regarding the upcoming wastewater rate increase. City staff, along with our partners from MSA and Ehlers, provided an overview of why the increase is necessary, what it means for residents, and what to expect moving forward.
If you weren’t able to attend in person or join virtually, we encourage you to watch the full recording here:
https://www.youtube.com/live/WYwpDa5pfbo

We have uploaded the presentation slides as well to our website:

We understand that rate changes can raise questions, and we are committed to keeping our community informed and involved. If you have any questions after watching the presentation, please don’t hesitate to reach out to City Hall.

Thank you for staying engaged and informed.

🚧💧 Utilities Team Making Progress with GIS Technology! 💻📍

Our Utilities team has been hard at work expanding the City’s investment in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) to improve how we manage infrastructure and share information with the community.

One of the first results of this effort is a new interactive Ward Viewer map, which allows residents to quickly see which ward they live in and better understand their local representation.

👉 Check out the new interactive GIS experience here:
https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/317ccc6f27b541d6893a1408cfc8e1bd

This is just the beginning! Our team is continuing to build additional GIS applications and tools that will be shared with the public in the near future. These resources will help improve transparency, planning, and access to information for residents.

Thank you to our Utilities staff for their dedication and innovation as we continue investing in technology that supports our community! 👏
