The Horicon Utilities are starting their Fall Hydrant flushing, Monday OCT 5th and will be going through the following week until Oct 16th. If you see discolored water there is no cause for alarm, just run the cold water in the faucet until it clears up.

RESIDENTIAL BULK CURBSIDE PICK-UP: OCTOBER 2, 2026

City of Horicon "Residential" Bulk Curbside Pick-Up is available ONLY to residential households paying for garbage services on their water bills. Apartment Buildings and Business' are EXCLUDED!

All items must be placed at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m.

Only one pass will be made per street and continue until all streets have been reached.

If a single household item is too large to fit in a cart, then it is considered a bulk item. Please place bulk items next to your waste cart.

Bulk items must be 50lbs or less, and manageable by one person (or broken down into manageable pieces).

Acceptable bulk items include: bed frames, box springs, bicycles, chairs, love seat/sofa, sectional couch pieces, mattresses, frames, tables, stoves, washers, dryers and refrigerators.

Unacceptable items include: yard waste, lumber, construction material, hazardous materials, waste oil, tires or liquids.

*NOTICE*

The City of Horicon will be closing the city owned parking lot on the corner of Vine St. and Mill St. starting 9/14/26 through November 2026. This will be to reconstruct the parking lot surface that has failed as well as add more parking stalls and improve accessibility.

Notice: Due to wastewater treatment plant construction, the River Bend Park driving loop will be closed on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, beginning at 6:00 a.m. The current plan is to reopen the loop later that day once the tie-in work is completed. The park will remain open to pedestrian traffic.

Due to the weather event this week the City of Horicon DPW will be doing a special brush pickup starting Monday 6/15/26. We have received multiple calls regarding an extra brush pickup.

Due to an incident in downtown Horicon the right hand turn lane westbound at the stop and go lights will be temporarily closed.
