E-2 and A-2 along with companies from Westborough Fire Department are working MVC with entrapment on 495 SB. Off duty members have been recalled from home for coverage.

This is the second serious incident on 495 for today’s duty group.

Congratulations to Westborough Fire Department Chief Patrick Purcell who retired today after over 35 years of service, the last 11 of which were Chief.

Patrick Purcell is retiring after 27 years with the Westborough Fire Department, the last 11 as chief.

Please join us in wishing Firefighter Jimmy Frederick congratulations as he heads into retirement this morning following his final shift with Hopkinton after 24 years of service.

Jimmy was the first Paramedic hired by the department and was instrumental in establishing the high level of care Hopkinton Paramedics are known for. Throughout his career Jimmy could always be counted on as a mentor for new Paramedics and was a valuable asset to the Departments Community Risk Reduction efforts.

Congratulations Jimmy and thank you!!
