So proud of my friend Rachel Wall. She is tenacious, relentless, and passionate about public schools and every child. She was the target of smear pieces and threats, and she only got fiercer. She put in a ton of work mobilizing people, and she was a difference maker. She is a hero for many of us.

It was so much fun to hang out with my best friends and make new friends at this event. What a privilege to have Jim McGovern as our Rep. So thankful to be friends with Shahidul and Nasiba, they are so gracious and welcoming. My spirits were lifted when Mr. McGovern encouraged us to keep fighting for values. If you know me, you know that is music to my ears.

It was a priority for Kyla and I to give Hopkinton voters an authentic look at what we bring to the role.
No script. No talking points. Just real questions, real answers, and the depth of our qualifications laid bare.
That is what voters deserve.
Kyla and I share a fierce commitment to doing what is best for our children. We come from different perspectives, and that is the strength. Different viewpoints, when they meet in service of our kids, can coalesce into a cohesive winning vision for Hopkinton schools.
That is the kind of School Committee Hopkinton deserves.
Election Day is May 18.

Thank you HCAM and Tom Nappi!

It was a priority for Nasiba too, running for reelection to the Board of Health, but unfortunately voters did not get a chance to hear from her directly since her debate was cancelled for lack of an opponent.

Today we spent time at the Hopkinton Senior Center, listening to the wisdom of those who have been part of this community for a very long time. The stories of how much the town has grown. How much the schools have grown.

We learned how far special education has come over the years. The work that it took. The progress that was earned. The doors that opened for families one quiet act of advocacy at a time.
That is the gift of our seniors. They remember. They remind us. They show us what showing up actually looks like.

The way they welcomed us today reminded me of how beautifully inclusive our town can be.

Thank you to everyone who shared their time and their stories with us today. šŸ™

It's Teacher Appreciation Week. šŸŽ
Behind every special needs child who feels seen in our schools is someone who took the time to see them. We owe them all more than thanks.
This is why as Treasurer of Friends of SEPAC, I help organize the Inspire Awards every year. To recognize the teachers, staff, support professionals, bus drivers, and administrators who go above and beyond for our special education students and their families.
If someone in the Hopkinton public schools has made a real difference for your child, please check your mailbox for the nomination form and send it back. Their work deserves to be recognized.
To every Hopkinton educator and staff member supporting our special needs community: thank you. Your work shapes lives.

Thank you to the Hopkinton Women's Club for hosting Meet the Candidates Night, and to everyone who showed up or tuned in to watch.

My focus last night was on two things that matter most to me. Every child, and the future our schools are preparing them for.
Every child means exactly that. Every child deserves a pathway to succeed in our schools, with the support to walk it. Forward-looking pathways for the ambitious and aspirational ones reaching for more. Strengths-based pathways for our special education students and our students who learn differently. Pathways for the kids quietly finding their way. Every one of them belongs, and every one of them deserves a Hopkinton school system that sees them, supports them, and helps them rise.

The future means AI. It is not coming, it is here. Our schools have to prepare students for a world being reshaped in real time, and we have to do it without leaving anyone behind. That is why I am proposing voluntary, community-led pathways in AI, Medical, and Business pathways, open to all our students. And it is why I want to bring AI to fiscal innovation, doing more with more, so we can fund every program our kids need.

It also means guardrails. Grade-appropriate and considerate use of tech tools, with the wisdom to know that learning about AI does not mean AI-infused learning all the time. Our kids still need to read deeply, write by hand, struggle through a math problem and have mom or dad learn algebra again to help them (I personally enjoy the honor of learning honors algebra, and you can't see right now but my face is so straight when I say that... and dads are allowed to cheat with AI when their kids aren't watching, right?), and have real conversations with real teachers. AI should be a tool in the toolbox, not the whole shop.

This campaign has been about real solutions for real opportunities. Not vague talking points, not preachy slogans. The actual work of figuring out how Hopkinton's schools serve every kid, and how we get them ready for what comes next.

These are solutions that have been percolating from years of actually being involved and looking for growth opportunities. Not overnight campaign filler material.

Election Day is May 18. I would be honored to have your vote.

Thank you, Jamie Wronka, for this kind letter of support. It means a great deal coming from a current School Committee member who knows what the work actually looks like.

From the very first time we met during our Elmwood school visit, Jamie has been welcoming in a way that makes you feel at home right away. Over these past months she has been a great sounding board, generous with honest feedback when I needed it, and always with genuine care behind every conversation.

Grateful, Jamie. Thank you.

Thank you for the endorsement, Beth Garey Watson

It is the incredibly kind hearted people like Beth who validate for me why inclusion is not a buzzword for me.

šŸ™ Grateful for this endorsement from Beth Gallagher Malloy — a 30-year Hopkinton parent and one of the most genuinely selfless and caring people in this community.

Beth wrote that I "hope to create community-led pathways in AI, medical, and business for Hopkinton students."
Beth — I promise you this: I will work harder than anyone to make it real.

That's what our kids deserve.
