Hopkinton Historic District Commission

We're looking for a few additional members to join the Hopkinton Historic District Commission, which oversees the district around the Common. We could specifically use a realtor and an architect, but if none are available, we welcome anyone with an interest in Hopkinton history. We meet, on average, once a month.

The Hopkinton History Center is Now Open to the public on Mondays 2-5 pm!

The Hopkinton History Museum and Research Center, 168 Hayden Rowe St., is now open to the public every Monday from 2-5 pm. Masks are required if not vaccinated.

Eagle Scout candidate Ryan Brennan and his crew were working hard today at the Common to clean up the landscaping around the war memorials, which had become quite overgrown. Just in time for Veterans Day next week!

Please keep in mind that the Claflin Fountain is over 100 years old and the taxpayers recently paid over $100K to have it restored to its original glory in time for the town’s 300th Anniversary in 2015. Please, please, please stay outside of the fence and do not climb in or on the fountain

It has come to our attention that children have been playing in the fountain on the town common. PLEASE do not go within the fenced in area. This fountain is over 100 years old and is not designed to be climbed on.

Please be respectful.
