Last week teams visited both the Hopkinsville and Paducah Career Centers to review each center’s certification applications. They toured the facilities and had the opportunity to ask questions to various partners organization staff members. We appreciate the time and effort each of the reviewers gave to insure that each center runs efficient and strives to provide the best possible customer service experience to job seekers and employers. While both centers received recommendations of recertifucation to the Kentucky Workforce & Innovation Board, here the Paducah reviewers sign their letter. Petter Supply; Josh Wall, WKCTC Workforce Solutions; Donnie Holland, Chair of the WKWB Certification Committee; and Jon Pendergrass, Regional Manager for the Kentucky Career Centers.

We were grateful for the opportunity to help connect Paducah and McCracken County’s elected officials and community leaders with the leadership team at Fort Campbell. Building strong relationships with Fort Campbell is an important step in strengthening our regional workforce pipeline. Service members transitioning from military service bring valuable skills, leadership, and experience that can greatly benefit our local employers and communities.

The West Kentucky Workforce Board is proud to help facilitate conversations like these that open doors for future partnerships, career pathways, and opportunities for veterans and their families who may choose to call our region home.

Thank you to everyone who participated and continues to support efforts to connect talent with opportunity in West Kentucky.
