On September 11th, 2026, at 7:49 pm deputies were called to the 8-mile marker of Interstate 169 for a man walking northbound and stumbling into traffic.

34-year-old James Sizemore of Manchester was located and showed signs of being under the influence of some kind of substance.

He was arrested on three active warrants for failure to appear and two counts of non-payment of court costs.

After being arrested, he was found to have suspected m**h and a used needle.

Sizemore is charged with public intoxication, possession of m**h, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

We are excited to announce the 2026 Christian County Sheriff’s Office “Citizen’s Sheriff Academy”.

This program will focus on educating the participants about the day-to-day job of a Deputy Sheriff in Christian County and having a little fun in the process.

Traffic may be stopped or slow at times on Interstate 24 at the 87-mile marker westbound due to a crash.

Work will include installing drainage tile, rock, and widening the new portion of the roadway. This work zone is located between where the divided lanes end (9 mm) and North Drive (10.14 mm).

On September 10th, 2026, at 3:25 am deputies were called to the 11000 block of Madisonville Road for a crash.

A car was traveling southbound when the driver fell asleep, causing it to run off the road and hit a ditch.

The driver was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to meet with a helicopter that will transfer him to a Nashville hospital for severe leg and foot injuries.
