Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. This week, May 10th through May 16th, 2026, is National Peace Officers Memorial Week, also known as Police Week.

This week honors law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice as well as celebrate those who continue to serve and protect their communities. National Police Week was established in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy, with May 15th designated as Peace Officer Memorial Day. Help us remember and never forget the men and women of law enforcement that never finished their tour of duty.

We also invite the community to attend our very own memorial service, hosted by FOP lodge 12, on May 14th, 2026 at 4:30 pm at Memorial Park located between the police and fire department to honor officers and deputies that have lost their lives in the line of duty right here in Christian County.
