🚧. TRAFFIC ALERT: TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSED 🚧

South Main Street at East 1st Street and Phillip Meacham Way is temporarily closed. After the asphalt was excavated a small water leak was located in addition to the drainage system failure. HWEA was able to mitigate the water leak quickly and KYTC is currently working to mitigate the drainage pipe issue. The duration of the road closure is currently unknown.

Motorist are encouraged to use Glass Avenue to North Drive as a detour and should expect delays in this area.

During National Police Week, we extend our sincere gratitude to the law enforcement officers across Christian County who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. We deeply appreciate their professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to public service.
We proudly recognize and thank the Christian County Sheriff's Office, Hopkinsville Police Department, Kentucky State Police, Oak Grove Police Department, and Pembroke Police Department for their service and sacrifice.

Due to the forecasted weather conditions today, ECC will not be testing the tornado sirens. This is to ensure that community members without reliable access to weather updates do not mistakenly believe there is an active warning in effect. We will postpone our monthly test until next week.
