Beginning July 1, 2026, updates to the City of Hopkinsville Net Profit License Fee structure will take effect.

Key changes include:

βœ”οΈ Net profit tax rate reduced to 1.3%
βœ”οΈ Minimum business license fee reduced to $100
βœ”οΈ Previously exempt businesses will now pay a $25 processing fee when filing

While Hoptown Hose Down and Movies in the Park will not be held this year, there are still plenty of exciting activities, events, festivals, programs, and community gatherings happening throughout the city.

The City of Hopkinsville is accepting applications for full-time positions with the Hopkinsville Fire Department’s EMS Division.

Open positions include Critical Care Paramedic, Paramedic, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, and Emergency Medical Technician.

Pay range: $45,003 to $73,142, based on previous EMS experience and provider level.

Schedule: 24 hours on / 48 hours off, Monday through Sunday with a Kelly Day.

Excellent benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, uniform allowance, paid vacation days, paid sick days, paid floating holidays, and Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program availability for eligible employees.
