After 5 years with our organization, Ally's last day with us is today. Ally has brought great care to ResourceWest’s development and communications work, especially the relationships behind it.

Her work has touched donor communications, fundraising, events, community engagement, and many of the details that help a small organization stay connected to the people who care about its mission.

We’re grateful for everything Ally has contributed, and for the care she is putting into making this a thoughtful transition. Here's what she's shared with us:

1,050 students supported. 💙💚

That’s 1,050 students heading into the new school year with backpacks, school supplies and a community behind them.

This year’s Back to School Program also gave families an opportunity to connect with more than supplies. At our one-day event, 311 families joined us, and eight resource partners were there to share information and connect families with additional community resources.

And our community showed up in a big way: 96 volunteers gave their time and 20 community collection drives helped gather the supplies students needed.

To everyone who donated, hosted a collection drive, volunteered, partnered with us or supported this program in another way, thank you. You helped make a strong start to the school year possible for children and families across our community.

Today's the last day you can buy tickets and join us on August 30th for ResourceWest Day at the Twins! The game starts at 1:10pm against the White Sox at Target Field.

Tickets bought through our specific link will be $34.75 (including fees) and $10 of that will be donated back to ResourceWest!

We have a goal to sell 50 tickets -- help us reach it, and join us for a fun afternoon out with ResourceWest staff and other supporters!

Tonight is Night to Unite! There are several neighborhoods and local businesses hosting school supply collections for our Back to School Program.

Can you join in a night of community and donate school supplies?

In just over two weeks, our office will have hundreds of families and over a thousand students in our space, picking up free school supplies. Supplies collected and donated this week will be directly given to students and families in our community -- in your neighborhoods.

Most Urgent Needs:
4,400 pocket folders
900 backpacks for all ages
590 college-ruled composition notebooks

Donations collected tonight can be dropped off at our office on Thursday between 10-4pm.
