Join Walkers Gym for this awesome workshop! This is an incredible initiative by one of Downtown’s longtime anchor businesses!

Reminder that on Tuesday, June 2nd, at the Hopewell library, Walkers Gym will have a workshop on heart rate training zones and losing body fat. Peak VO2 testing is the way to identify your heart rate zones and which zones you utilize more fat when exercising. Prescription Exercise - individualized and scientific.

At Tuesday evening’s City Council meeting, the City of Hopewell was proud to recognize 15 outstanding businesses that have continuously operated in our community for 50 years or more!

Mayor Johnny Partin presented each business with a proclamation of appreciation in recognition of their longevity, commitment, and continued investment in the City of Hopewell. These businesses have played an important role in shaping our local economy and community over the decades, and we are grateful for their dedication to serving generations of residents.

What a great evening connecting with Hopewell’s incredible business community!

Yesterday, the Department of Economic Development & Tourism hosted our second Business Resource Meeting of the year at Good Ship Brewing & Eatery, bringing together local business owners, community partners, and leaders for an evening full of networking, collaboration, and valuable resources.

Attendees received updates on the latest business incentives available through the City, heard important information regarding crime prevention and public safety from Hopewell Police Department, and enjoyed an inspiring message from Donnie Barber of Good Ship Brewing & Eatery on turning a vision into a thriving local business success story. Guests also learned about opportunities and support available through the APEX Accelerator Program, presented by Lynn Mann.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success. Events like these continue to strengthen connections, support local businesses, and build momentum for Hopewell’s growing business community. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next one!
