Joan E. Fallon will be giving this week's Lunch & Learn Lecture on Wednesday, June 3rd! Come to the American Legion Post 146 from 12-1 PM to listen to his FREE lecture: "Fiction and Non-Fiction Storytelling about Jordan Point area of Prince George, VA." Enjoy a lunch from the American Legion or pack your own. Drinks and desserts are provided!

Overview: Local storyteller, Joan Fallon is not a historian like most of the Lunch and Learn speakers. She will entertain and educate the audience about one tiny section of Prince George, the Jordan Point area. She has written an original Flash Fiction story about a murder that takes place at the Jordan Point Marina at the very land once owned by little known Cecily Reynolds Bailey Jordan Farrar Montaque Parker who came to America around 1609. She will be introducing, perhaps, for a few of you, reintroducing Cecily's amazing story told through the voices of her Ghost. Both stories will endear you to that little corner of Prince George, VA.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Weston Manor in Bloom this past Sunday at Weston Manor with the Historic Hopewell Foundation!

The weather may have been a little chilly, but it certainly didn’t keep folks away. It was such a joy to see so many families and friends enjoying a beautiful afternoon together.

A big, BIG thank you to La Lavande for bringing their awesome charcuterie cart, Amanda's Bakes and Batter for their delicious cupcakes, St. Elpis Greek Orthodox Church of Southside Virginia for the baklava and other fresh goodies, and Waves Sandwich Company for providing the boxed lunches! Silver Oak Farm provided fresh cut flowers for bouquets, and the petting zoo by Flat Creek Farm brought a host of wonderful animals to Weston! Lamb Center for Arts and Healing provided fun art kits, and a round of applause for The Mags Va. for playing live music throughout the whole event!

We are already looking forward to our next event this July. Stay tuned for details!

The countdown is on! 🌸 We can’t wait to celebrate a chilly spring day! 💐
