The Old Dominion Barn Dance was a legendary country music show in Richmond, VA that dates back to 1946, and has been dormant since 1991. It was created by the show's host, singer and the country's first woman radio personality, Mary 'Sunshine Sue' Workman. The Barn Dance featured local, regional and national performers at several different theaters over the years, and was broadcast live on Saturda

y nights over Clear Channel WRVA radio. Now revived as a concert series held five times a year, the venerable show is held at the Beacon Theatre in Hopewell, VA, just south of Richmond, and features popular country music artists including Grand Ole Opry stars, as well as the best in regional country and Bluegrass entertainers.
