The day has come and last minute registration is open our deputy is at the Hopewell Marina ready to go. Even if you are unable to fish the tournament and want to make a donation to the cause swing by and our tournament will gladly help you out.

5 days until our 3rd annual tournament. Don't be a fish out of water, early registration is open at two locations or you can wing it the morning of. Our trusty Deputy will be at the Hopewell marina at 0300 hours to start the pre-fish shenanigans. Looks like it's gonna be a real catch, and by catch I mean fish, rain or shine we're gonna reel them in.

The Hopewell Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of reports of individuals receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be a deputy and stating that a warrant exists for their arrest.

Please be advised:

🚨 The Hopewell Sheriff’s Office will never call you to demand money, payment, or personal information to resolve a warrant or court matter.

Scammers are increasingly using “spoofing” technology, which allows them to make it appear as though the call is coming from a legitimate phone number — including the Sheriff’s Office number.

If you receive a call like this:

• Do not provide personal information
• Do not send money or payment of any kind
• Hang up immediately!

If you want to verify whether a call is legitimate, you can contact the Hopewell Sheriff’s Office directly at 804-541-2300.

We appreciate community members looking out for one another and sharing information to help prevent others from becoming victims of scams.

We are only a couple of weeks away from our Special Olympics tournament. This is for a good cause and a fun time. You can register early at James river tackle company or Fish takes bait & tackle. You can also register the morning of if you chose. Please come out and enjoy this event we are partnered with the Hopewell Police Department and will be cooking out as well.
