🚨House Fire Response 🚒

Around 3:00 AM this morning, the Pennington Fire Department was dispatched for a reported rubbish fire, initially reported to be a hot tub on fire. Within minutes, police arrived and confirmed a working fire, prompting a Valley All-Call that brought in Hopewell Fire Department Station 52 and Union Fire Company Station 53.

Upon arrival of Chief 51, the incident was upgraded to a first alarm after the fire extended to the residence, bringing in additional mutual aid companies from Ewing and Lawrence Townships. Due to the lack of nearby hydrants, a second alarm tanker assignment was requested to establish a water supply.

First-arriving crews from Pennington Fire Company quickly deployed handlines and brought the fire under control. Incoming units assisted with water supply operations, suppression, and overhaul. Crews operated on scene for approximately two hours before clearing.

Great work by all companies involved and thank you to all mutual companies who assisted.

🚨 Vehicle Fire Response – Hopewell Fire Department 🚨

Yesterday a little before 6:00 PM, the Hopewell Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire.

Upon arrival, Rescue 52 crew found a single vehicle fully involved. Firefighters quickly deployed the reel line and made an aggressive attack, bringing the fire under control in a short amount of time. Tanker 52 also responded to provide additional water supply if needed.

Units remained on scene briefly for overhaul and safety checks before clearing. Ambulance 152-3 was on location to provide standby support. No injuries were reported.

Great work by all responding personnel for a quick and efficient response!

The Hopewell Fire Department and Emergency Medical Unit mourns the loss of a member of the Camden Fire Department. We extend our heartfelt condolences to their family, friends, and the entire Camden Fire family during this difficult time.

The loss of a firefighter is never felt by one department alone; it is carried by a community and a brotherhood that mourn together.

We ask our community to keep the family, department, and all those affected by this tragedy in their thoughts and prayers.

Rest easy. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
