Apon arrival the Truck Company was placed to work with our ladder pipe assisting in fire suppression on multiple involved structures. Throughout the day crews battled heavy deep seated fires and rapid changes in fire conditions.

Congratulations to Hopewell Hose Senior Man Dave Palin for being named the April Inductee for the Wolf Den Heroes!

Mr. Palin is the epitomy of what it means to be a Senior Man in the Firehouse and our members are better by listening to his knowledge and direction. We at Hopewell Hose could not think of a more deserving candidate!

Thank you for everything, and congratulations!

Last night ushered in the begining of “Hell Week” at Hopewell Hose.

Hopewell Hose would like to congratulate 3 of your Hopewell Hose Volunteers on the completion of the NYS Truck Company Operations course.

This course introduces Firefighters to new skills, and builds apon Firefighter 1 skills such as use of a rotary saw for flat roofs and metal, vent enter search, forcible entry, ground ladder usage, and operating from an aerial device amongst other important skills.

With the completion of this class our 3 Firefighters will continue their in house training on the ladder trucks in order to become members of the Truck Company. Although all members of Hopewell Hose ride the ladder trucks to calls, members of the truck company signified by a red helmet or shield have shown confidence and competance in the operation of our ladders as well as having shown the ability to perform fireground operations required of a truck company firefighter.

Your Hopewell Hose Volunteers top priority is providing our community with the best Fire and Rescue services possible, and it shows in our members eagerness to take classes and advance their skills.

Congratulations to FF. Rahilly, FF. Ahmad and FF. Doughty.

If you are interested in joining our dedicated team, stop in on Monday May 4th to begin the application process.

Help us to help you!

As we start to wind down our standby your Hopewell Hose Volunteers would like to remind you to shovel out fire Hydrants, and ensure that your house number is visable!

Fire Hydrants play a key role in supplying us with the water necessary to extinguish fire. If we cant see or access the hydrant, we wont have the water necessary to fight the fire. House numbers should be visable so that in the event you need Fire or EMS, we can find your address without any delays.

We hope that we wont require this assistance, but in the event that we do we will be grateful.
