The Wiccopee Fire Company is pleased to announce that Morgan Doughty has been selected as the 2026 recipient of the Steven D. Ziskind Memorial Scholarship.

Morgan, a dedicated member of the Hopewell Hose Fire Company and soon to be graduate of John Jay Senior High School, has demonstrated exceptional academic prowess as a student-athlete and President of the National Honor Society.

She will pursue her studies in chemical engineering at Stony Brook University this fall.

Since joining Hopewell Hose in July 2024, Morgan has excelled in her training, obtaining specialized certifications as well as certification as an interior firefighter and NYS EMT.

The Wiccopee Fire Company and the scholarship committee offer Morgan heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for her future academic endeavors.

The members of the Wiccopee Fire Company would like to congratulate member Jacob Jodlowski on his recent graduation last week from Binghamton University. Jacob majored in psychology with a pre-med track.

If that wasn’t enough, he was just commissioned today as a 2nd Lt in the 691st Forward Resuscitative & Surgical Detachment, United States Army Reserve.🇺🇸

Jake is the son of proud parents Sheila and member Chris Jodlowski.

Congratulations Rad on 60 years of service. A true gentleman and a fireman’s fireman.

At tonight’s Village board meeting, we celebrated Rad Wilson for his 60 years of active service to The Village of Fishkill. Rad was recognized by The Village, our company, the fire museum of Dutchess County and the Dutchess County Volunteer Firemen Association.

Rad has always been an asset to the Village of Fishkill. We thank him for his many years of professionalism, hard work and dedication.

🇺🇸Good afternoon. We hope all of you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather this Sunday.

We would like to invite anyone who would like to attend our annual Memorial Day service at our fire station on 6 West Hook Rd. Wiccopee.  The service will commence at 8:45 AM, and afterwords there will be light refreshments back at the firehouse.

At the Service, we will remember all of the fallen service members who have given their lives in the pursuit of 250 years of freedom.

In particular during the World War II era, there were four Members of Service from this area that passed away during World War II.

Rather unusual considering during that timeframe the population wasn’t what it is today. Mainly farms.

Please come down and join us in this Memorial Day service on Memorial Day May 25,2026 at 8:45 AM. Thank you. 🇺🇸
