At 437 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Sherman, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Litchfield and southeastern Dutchess Counties, including the following locations... Candlewood Springs, Kinneys Corners, Candlewood Point, Baker Corner, Woodinville, Bridgewater, River Road Reserve, Hurd Corners, Candlewood Trails, and Wellsville.

🚨The National Weather Service has issued Heat Advisories for Dutchess County for BOTH TODAY AND TOMORROW from noon through 8pm each day.🚨

The combination of high temperatures and high humidity will lead to heat index values or "feels-like" temperatures close to 100-102°F.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, and stay in an air conditioned area, if possible.

NEVER leave children or pets unattended in vehicles, under any circumstances.
