A few of our firefighters joined area departments at the annual Mt. Lake Fire Company golf outing at Harkers Hollow yesterday. Our ability to work well together on the fireground is attributed not only to our familiarity with each other at incidents and training, but also at social events where deeper connections are developed. It was a well run outing by the Mt. Lake members and auxiliary.

This week we had two vehicles to train with at a local farm. Our firefighters have extensive experience from extricating hundreds of patients from vehicles along Route 80 - as well as our county and town roads - but we always like to stay sharp by training and learning new techniques.

On April 19th ~ 38 Fire and 46 Rescue were dispatched to Route 80EB in Hope Township for a working truck fire. Both engines and our tanker responded and quickly extinguished the fire. While performing overhaul, the driver of the truck expressed he had some important paperwork in the back and pointed to where it would be. 38 Fire members dug through the debris and located it, undamaged by the fire.

Currently operating on Route 80WB at Exit 12 for a single vehicle over the guiderail and into a light pole.

On Thursday April 16th ~ 38 Fire, 46 and 21 Rescue were dispatched to Rt 519 near the White Twp border for an MVA with entrapment. Hope firefighters along with 21 and 46 rescue extricated the patient from the vehicle and transported them to a landing zone off Swayze Mill Road.

On Friday April 10th, 38 Fire and 46 Rescue were dispatched to Rt 611 at the overlook for a 2 car MVA (head on). Firefighters on scene closed the road and handled patient care until the arrival of 46 Rescue and paramedics. Firefighters assisted in loading the patients to be transported to area hospitals as well as cleaning several fluid spills in the roadway.

We had an early morning call in Allamuchy. Great stop by the first crew in and solid work by everyone on scene.
